Ræktum vitið is an initiative by VR and SVÞ. The project promotes skill enhancement for employees in retail and services.

There is a significant need for this project as rapid changes are taking place within the retail and service industries. Therefore, it is important for both employees and employers to make lifelong learning an integral part of retail and service jobs. Additionally, the increase in immigrant workers and the longer time people spend in the workforce further highlights the need for employees to engage in regular continuing and retraining education.
